Park City, Utah: Part Two

Wednesday, August 24, 2016

Our Sunday excursion was a three-hour train ride through Provo Canyon on the Heber Valley Historic Railroad. It was a beautiful day and Blair was thrilled to ride the "choo-choo." We boarded in Heber City and the train took us through farmland, around the Deer Creek Reservoir, along the Provo River to a little park, where the kids could get out and play on a playground for a few minutes while they turned the engine around. We had views of Mt. Timpanogos (Mount Topanga, as we called it) and the train was even boarded by a duo of "robbers." It was a fun, relaxing way to take in some scenery... and Blair even took a big nap on Aunt Karagh on the return trip to Heber City!

Super pumped for the train ride!

Mike was excited too!

Lots of love for Poppie

Keeping with tradition, we had a little birthday celebration to mark Mike's 29th birthday in July and Karagh's 27th in August. They exchanged silly gifts and we all dug into the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream cake!

She slept like a rock every night - all the excitement tuckered her right out!

It was a great vacation that went by way too quickly. It's not easy living so far apart from one another, but we certainly make the most of every opportunity we get to spend time together. There was lots of wedding planning talk, so we're all very excited to know we'll be in Wyoming this time next year for their big day!
