Seattle: Part Two

Saturday, October 17, 2015

I'll continue my photo barrage from our trip to Seattle, starting with Monday's explorations! Mom had to work on Monday (boo!), so Blair and I walked to the Seattle Aquarium to see the "peesh." She was in heaven. The Seattle Aquarium is the perfect size - it's small, but engaging and perfect for little ones with short attention spans. They even had a Toddler Time program set up with tons of activities for the littlest visitors, and Blair played with sea-animal puzzles, painted a fish masterpiece, smashed play-doh and colored pictures with some new friends. It was delightful - we could have stayed all day, but she was getting cranky and fell asleep in the stroller on the walk back to the hotel.

My little jellypeesh!
She was fascinated by the jellyfish.

Mike's session schedule was a little less packed on Tuesday, so we were able to show him all the "peesh" at the Market and walk along the pier. Blair and Dada played some cornhole and then we mustered up the courage to ride the Big Wheel. It was neat to see the city from a different perspective and Blair kept pointing down at the water and Aquarium asking "go bye-bye, see peesh?"

I'll give you one guess as to what she was talking about.

We saw an awesome display from this fire rescue boat!

Hello stadiums and Mt. Rainier!
Mom finished up her work stuff and was able to come back into the city to baby sit while Mike and I took the Sound Transit to Safeco Field for a Mariner's game! Attendance was pretty light because it was the end of the season, but we enjoyed ourselves. We got really chilly as the sun went down though and went through 2 hot chocolates just to stay warm! Blair and MeeMaw had fun at the hotel, including one of Blair's favorite activities - looking out the window and asking "What's dat? What's dat? WHAT'S DAT?!" at everything she saw.

I got a little artsy haha

There's that mountain again...

Blair and I said "bye! see you!" to Seattle on Wednesday morning, taking our first ever Uber ride to the airport. She was a perfect angel on the flight home - she slept for almost 3 hours and then played iPad games until we landed. It was a great trip and I'm so glad we were able to go together. Thanks for all the fun, Seattle!
