Easter

Easter this year was a whirlwind of toddlers - all the kiddos can walk/run now and the egg hunt was a hilarious free-for-all. It was so fun to watch them all together, tearing into the baskets and helping each other find their assigned egg colors. They've all grown so much since last year!

The littles could hardly contain themselves when we first arrived at Aunt Marilyn & Uncle Bob's, so they busted into the baskets to see what the Bunny had left for them. Coloring books, princess socks, sunnies, hair bows, and bubbles were a big hit - until Uncle Mikey started the Basket Hat trend and then everyone had a go with the hip new accessory.

After the baskets, we set the kiddos loose in the yard, assigning each of them two colors of eggs to find. They burst out of the house squealing with delight at the yard full of eggs, and quickly forgot whose egg colors were whose. The adults shouted out colors from the sidelines and helped direct the frantic egg hunters to the most difficult hiding spots.

After the hunt, we corralled the eager egg-busters into the house to reveal their loot. Beauty & the Beast figurines, Trolls characters, hair bows, Matchbox cars, and healthy treats had them all in a frenzy. The girls broke out into songs from Beauty & the Beast, and little M kept affectionately repeating, "Poppy!" as he snuggled his new pink-haired troll.

The excitement eventually spilled out onto the deck, where the cousins swapped toys and proudly showed off their new goodies. Blair also gifted Cousin C her birthday present, since we weren't able to make the party. C was so excited to open her Reds Heads club membership, and we can't wait to take the girls to their first game/event as official members of the fan club!

Happy Easter, everyone!
