Town Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday, March 20, 2016

We attended the Town Easter Egg Hunt on a blustery and cold Saturday morning. Seriously, it was freezing. Thank goodness my car is a complete disaster organized and I had a spare jacket in the trunk for Blair!

Last year Blair only got one egg and hardly understood what was happening. This year, she was ready to rock-and-roll, thanks to the practice she got during Mimi's egg hunt and a lot of "Easter Buddy" hype from the two of us. She was, however, absolutely terrified of the Easter Bunny, despite the fact that a certain city manager we all know and love was the one in the costume (shh! don't tell anyone!)

Checking out the eggs, waiting to run in
Keeping an eye on the "Easter Buddy"
I only took 3 pictures with my camera and the rest on my phone.
When the fire truck horn sounded, all the kids went tearing into the baseball field and Blair followed suit. She yelled "Hurry, hurry!" and "Get eggs!" as she darted between big kids, and came back triumphantly toting 4 eggs of her own. She was so proud of herself!

Aaand they're off!

Grabbed her last egg!

All the ones we got were filled with Smarties
Turning in the eggs for next year!

Running to keep warm.

City Manager's daughter has some perks. Got a leftover Frozen lollipop!

Guess who?! ;)

We can't wait for more Easter egg hunt fun later this month with the cousins!
