Thanksgiving weekend we took the kids to the Cincinnati Zoo's Festival of Lights to see Elsa & Anna from Frozen, lots of twinkling Christmas lights, and to visit with the big guy himself - Santa Claus. The girls were giddy with excitement about meeting their favorite Disney ladies, so excited, in fact, that we got photos with the Frozen characters at the beginning and end of the trip haha.
Thankfully the line to see Their Majesties was short - the Frozen Fever is strong with these toddlers. Even Little M was pumped up - he sings an adorable rendition of "Let It Go," haha.

Hugs all around! |

Equally as excited to meet this blow-up Elsa. |

OLAF! |

Blair with the SASS. My goodness. |

Watching dancing lights |
I think that Mike rode half the animal statues in the zoo and dragged Alex into his antics too.
There was an AMAZING rainbow light tunnel that totally blew my mind. I want one for my backyard next Christmas, it was that cool.
The kiddos were enamored with all the moving lights and music piped along the paths to create little shows as we walked around. A few bags of snacks and some blankets kept them all happy in their strollers.

C even made a new goat friend! |
We stopped by to visit with Santa and grab the annual "Santa's Lap" photo. Blair has screamed every year when we bring her to see Santa, so I was confident she would be a mess again this year. Much to my surprise, the jolly old elf was able to ease her fears with a little candy cane bribe and she agreed to sit on his lap for a quick, but skeptical, photo.

The gang's all here! |

Flashback to her first year. She's grown so much, that cheeky little face is still almost exactly the same! |
We stopped by to give Anna and Elsa a few more hugs (and so the boys could get a picture too!) before grabbing some family photos in front of the enormous Christmas Tree. It was so much fun and Blair won't stop talking about it - what an enjoyable start to the holiday season!

Even the boys got excited about meeting the Queen and Princess ;)

Mike, Danielle and I did the Festival of Lights all the way back in 2008, the year Mike and I had just started dating. We were all just babies, and lots of things have changed for the three of us in the eight years since that visit, but it's so fun to go back and look at old photos. And realize Mike is totally wearing the same hat. Bahaha.
